Class Descriptions
Parent & Child ~ Parents learn to help their toddler develop beginning gymnastics skills. Children learn to follow directions and cooperate utilizing an obstacle course, trampoline, balance beam and the foam pit.
Pre-School Beg. &Adv.~Children learn basic gymnastics skills and terminology. Classes concentrate on the development of basic gymnastic skills on: Tumbling, Bars, Balance beam and Trampoline. Ages 3.5 to 4. Examples of skills: Rolls, Cartwheel. Swings, Bounce
Super Tots ages 4-5~Continues to build gymnastics skills. Basic motor skills are targeted including balance, strength, flexibility and coordination. Examples of skills: cartwheel, Mini flips, Bridge and handstands.
Girls Beg./Int ages 7 and 14~Introduction to gymnastics. utilizes all apparatus including floor, balance beam, vault, uneven bars and trampoline. Examples of skills: Cartwheel, Round off, Walkovers and introduction to Back and Front handspring.
Fireballs Ages ages 5-10 . A challanging class for those girls who have some experience in gymnastics and are very eager to learn. This an introduction class to pre team. Example of the skills: Front and back walkovers, Back and Front handspring front flip and more.
Girls Int./Adv.~ages 8 & up.Prior experience needed with demonstrated skill level. Advanced level instruction on bars, beam, vault, floor, and trampoline. Examples the same as Fireballs.
Rhythmic Beg./Int.~Focuses on the basics of rhythmic gymnastics including flexibility, balance and coordination utilizing the ball, hoola hoop, and ribbon.
Rhythmic Int./Adv.~Must have completed beginner rhythmic or have demonstrated skill level. Builds on skills learned at beginner level and introduces higher level skills.
Dragons Beg./Int.~This boys only class concentrates on strength and flexibility necessary to develop gymnastics skills using bars, rings, pommel horse, vault and floor work and trampoline.
Dragons Int./Adv.~Prior experience needed with demonstrated skills. Continues work on all equipment and strength and flexibility training.
Cheer Tumble~Designed to develop and finetune tumbling skills required for cheerleading. Concentrates on strength training, stamina, endurance and technique.
Cheer Tumble Int./Adv.~Builds on skills perfected at the beginner level. Must have working round-off back handspring.
Trampoline/Tumbling~Class focuses on tumbling and flipping skills using the trampoline, tumble tramp and the foam pit.
